Timothy Smith-Bangura, aka James Bangura, is a dynamic force in the dance music world. The D.C. native currently based in NYC is renowned for seamlessly blending house, techno, and jungle into a unique auditory experience. With records on respected labels like MisterSaturdayNights, HausOfAltr, 3024, and World Building, James has carved out a significant niche in the electronic music scene. His EP "R.Y.S.S. " and tracks like "Cleanse" showcase his ability to merge deep house with the energetic breaks of jungle, earning him a reputation as a genre-bending artist. As a co-founder of "Black Rave Culture, James works to preserve and innovate the narrative of Black dance music alongside his collaborators, Amal and DJ Nativesun. Their projects not only celebrate the genre but also aim to
inspire the next generation of artists.
