Los Angeles native 1morning is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most innovative young producers in contemporary techno. With a growing fan base across North America and beyond, his unique blend of rugged, vintage swung techno and hardgroove has captivated audiences. His all-vinyl DJ sets and dynamic productions on respected labels like Fixed Rhythms and Mala Adh stand out for their distinctly old-school flavor, reminiscent of legends like Robert Hood. Like many of his all-vinyl heroes, he’s also a treat to watch behind the decks, his performances are a visual and auditory treat, showcasing his masterful handling of steamrolling hi-hats, swift choppage behind the decks, and profoundly deep grooves. The year 2023 marked a significant milestone in his career, with performances in Japan, a debut at New York’s Dweller Festival, and his inaugural European tour. It’s only a matter of time before 1morning graces a festival or club near you, continuing to push the boundaries of techno with his distinct and invigorating sound.

  Michael Nguyễn Finch is a multidisciplinary artist based in MN. His work addresses immigration, heritage, and cultural evolution through high-contrast colors, bold forms, stylized mark-making, and new media. Finch works in a variety of techniques and mediums including steel fabrication, cardboard, stucco masonry, and contemporary abstraction, serving to embody the perspective of a second generation Vietnamese immigrant reestablishing cultural identity.
